John D. Simmons, M.D., FACR

Biography

A biology honor scholar at Stanford University, Dr. Simmons attended medical school at Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio, performed his internship at Mt. Sinai Hospital and completed his radiology residency at the University of Cincinnati where he also served as chief resident. He then performed a neuroradiology fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. He is Board certified by the American Board of Radiology and is a senior member of the American and Southeastern Societies for Neuroradiology. He has obtained a CAQ in neuroradiology. Dr. Simmons now serves as President of Abercrombie Radiology. Areas of special expertise include neuroradiology of the head and spine, as well as musculoskeletal MRI, neuro-interventional and vascular radiology, and CT directed biopsy of the head, neck, spine, and abdomen, and spinal injection procedures for pain management.
