Allison M. Johnsen, M.D.

Biography

After majoring in biology at Furman University, Dr. Johnsen attended medical school at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. In medical school, she received the Dean’s Award, was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, and graduated summa cum laude. She continued her medical training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she completed a radiology residency and additional fellowship training in Neuroradiology. While at Vanderbilt, Dr. Johnsen was elected Chief Resident and was chosen as the department’s Model Resident. Dr. Johnsen’s areas of special interest are imaging of the brain, neck, and spine, as well as minimally invasive procedures. She is board certified by the American Board of Radiology and is a member of the American College of Radiology. She is a member of numerous professional societies including the American Society of Neuroradiology.
