Barrett Thomas, D.O.

Biography
Dr. Thomas graduated Summa Cum Laude from University of Tennessee in Knoxville with a degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. He subsequently went to medical school at Lincoln Memorial University – DCOM, where he graduated in the top of his class. He completed his diagnostic radiology residency at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania followed by an abdominal imaging fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, also in Philadelphia. His areas of interest include CT, ultrasound, and MRI imaging of the abdomen and pelvis with special interests in hepatobiliary, pancreatic, urologic, and prostate MRI, MRI enterography, gynecologic imaging, as well as vascular and transplant ultrasound.

Darrell Benton, M.D.

Biography
Dr. Benton graduated from Maryville College with a major in chemistry. He attended medical school at East Tennessee State University and was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed a radiology residency at University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville and was elected chief resident. He completed a fellowship in musculoskeletal imaging at Wake Forest. Dr. Benton is board certified by the American Board of Radiology and is a member of the American College of Radiology.

Dylan Simmons, D.O.

Biography
Dr. Simmons is an honors graduate from Francis Marion University in South Carolina. He attended medical school at Lincoln Memorial University-DCOM where he was an honor society inductee and graduated in the top of his class. He went on to complete his Diagnostic Radiology residency at Penn State Hershey Medical Center where he sat on several hospital committees and was elected to serve as Chief Resident. Dr. Simmons continued his graduate medical training at Emory University where he completed a Musculoskeletal radiology fellowship focusing on diagnostic sports related imaging, sarcoma evaluation, and minimally invasive procedures. His areas of special interest include orthopedic imaging, bone and soft tissue tumors, and image guided minimally invasive procedures. He is board certified by the American Board of Radiology and a member of several professional, medical, and radiological societies.

Allison M. Johnsen, M.D.

Biography
After majoring in biology at Furman University, Dr. Johnsen attended medical school at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. In medical school, she received the Dean's Award, was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, and graduated summa cum laude. She continued her medical training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she completed a radiology residency and additional fellowship training in Neuroradiology. While at Vanderbilt, Dr. Johnsen was elected Chief Resident and was chosen as the department's Model Resident. Dr. Johnsen's areas of special interest are imaging of the brain, neck, and spine, as well as minimally invasive procedures. She is board certified by the American Board of Radiology and is a member of the American College of Radiology. She is a member of numerous professional societies including the American Society of Neuroradiology.

Jason M. Ozment, M.D.

Biography
Dr. Jason Mark Ozment graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Tennessee with a Biology major. Dr. Ozment is joining Abercrombie Radiology with 23 years of radiology training and practice in the state of Tennessee. He obtained his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine and then completed his radiology residency at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis TN. He is board certified by the American Board of Radiology. His areas of expertise and special interests include cross sectional imaging, mammography, breast intervention, MRI and minor interventional procedures.

John R. Goodwin, M.D.

Biography
Dr. Goodwin graduated with honors from Furman University and completed medical school training at The Medical University of South Carolina. He underwent training in General Surgery at Bowman-Gray School of Medicine and completed his training in Diagnostic Radiology at The Medical College of Virginia. He then completed a fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at The University of Virginia. Dr. Goodwin is board certified in Diagnostic Radiology and received his CAQ in Interventional Radiology. His practice and interests span Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology including Interventional Oncology.

John P. Stallworth, M.D.

Biography
A native of Knoxville, Dr. Stallworth graduated with honors from the University of Tennessee with a BA majoring in Zoology in 1990. He was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. He attended medical school at Tulane in New Orleans from 1990-1994. He then completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis in 1998. After practicing for a year in Arkansas in 1999, he returned home and joined Knoxville Radiological Group. He joined Abercrombie Radiology in August 2016. He is board certified by the American Board of Radiology and is a member of the American College of Radiology as well as the Tennessee Radiological Society and the Tennessee Medical Foundation. Dr. Stallworth specializes in CT and MRI cross-sectional imaging, ultrasound and ultrasound-guided biopsies, Nuclear Medicine and Cardiac Imaging.

Scott A. Rosenbloom, M.D.

Biography
Dr. Rosenbloom is an AOA graduate of Drexel University (Hahnemann) School of Medicine. His radiology residency, chief residency and first year neuroradiology fellowship were served at Duke University Medical Center. He completed a second year of neuroradiology fellowship at UCSF and he was a staff neuroradiologist at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation for the next six years. Dr. Rosenbloom is board certified by the American Board of Radiology since 1984. He moved to Knoxville in 1991.

Monroe A. Broome, M.D.

Biography
Dr. Broome attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and medical school at the University of Tennessee at Memphis where he graduated with high honors. He completed a year of internal medicine at Wake Forest before obtaining his diagnostic radiology training at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. John M. Royer, M.D.

Biography
A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and graduate of medical school at the University of Tennessee in Memphis, Dr. Royer completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the University of Kentucky in Lexington. After returning to Knoxville in 1985, he joined Knoxville Radiological Group and served as its president for sixteen years prior to the merger of KRG with Abercrombie Radiological Consultants in 2016. Dr. Royer is board certified by the American Board of Radiology and has special interest in general radiology, cross sectional imagining, nuclear medicine, mammography, and breast interventional procedures. He is a member of the Knoxville Academy of Medicine, American College of Radiology, Radiological Society of North America, National Radiology, and the Radiological Society of North America.

John D. Towle, M.D.

Biography
A graduate with highest honors from Purdue University, Dr. Towle received a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering. After a 10 year career in the 3D software design industry, he pursued and received his medical degree from the Dartmouth Medical School. He remained in the Upper Valley for his medical training at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and was a Chief Resident during his final year of residency. Dr. Towle completed a fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology also at DHMC. 

Dr. Towle is board-certified by the American Board of Radiology. His areas of focus include embolotherapy, percutaneous cancer therapies, & vascular access. He is a member of the American College of Radiology, the Society of Interventional Radiology, and the Radiological Society of North America.

J. Scott Schauberger, M.D.

Biography
A Summa Cum Laude and Honors College graduate of Clemson University, Dr. Schauberger previously worked in the medical imaging industry as an electrical engineer. After changing careers, he graduated Alpha Omega Alpha from UAB School of Medicine, served his internship at Baptist Hospital System, and completed radiology residency at Duke University.  Following residency, he received additional fellowship training in Neuroradiology at Duke. He is board certified by the American Board of Radiology. His areas of special interest are imaging of the head, neck & spine, general image guided interventional procedures, kyphoplasty/vertebroplasty, breast interventions, and CT guided pain management. Dr. Schauberger is published in the American Journal of Neuroradiology and has presented original research at the American Society of Neuroradiology.

Benjamin J. Egner, M.D.

Biography
An Honors graduate in biochemistry from The University of Texas at Austin, Dr. Egner completed his medical school training at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center School of Medicine where he was elected to membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He received his diagnostic radiology residency training at the University of Tennessee Medical Center at Knoxville. Dr. Egner then completed a Musculoskeletal Imaging Fellowship at The University of Arizona.  He is board certified by the American Board of Radiology and a member of numerous professional societies, including the American College of Radiology.

Zachary Jumper, M.D.

Biography
A Phi Beta Kappa and honors graduate of Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, and an Alpha Omega Alpha graduate of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas, Dr. Jumper received his diagnostic radiology residency training at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He is board certified by the American Board of Radiology. His areas of interest are general diagnostic radiology, nuclear medicine, and cross-sectional imaging modalities including CT, MRI, and ultrasound. Christopher A. Aikens, M.D.

Biography
Graduating from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with high honors, Dr. Aikens attended the University of Tennessee, College of Medicine in Memphis. After his first-year residency training at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio, he completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois. He subsequently stayed on at St. Francis Hospital where he was selected to serve as an attending radiologist with an active teaching role in the residency training program. In 2004, he was the recipient of the Radiology Teacher of the Year Award in recognition and appreciation of excellence in teaching. With a desire to relocate close to family in Tennessee, he joined Abercrombie Radiology in December 2007. Dr. Aikens is Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology and is a member with Roentgen Ray Society and Radiologic Society of North America. His special interests include musculoskeletal and body MRI, neuroradiology, CT and Ultrasound.

Daniel Baker, M.D.

Biography
A graduate of Vanderbilt University and the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, Dr. Baker was elected to membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. From there he completed his internship at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee before attending the University of Florida for radiology residency. Dr. Baker then completed a one-year fellowship in musculoskeletal imaging at the University of Florida.  He is Board certified by the American Board of Radiology and special areas of interest include musculoskeletal imaging and neuroradiology. Biography
A zoology honors graduate from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Dr. Cameron completed his medical school training at Meharry Medical College where he also graduated with honors. He completed a surgical internship at the University of Tennessee in Memphis prior to a diagnostic radiology residency at the University of Tennessee/Methodist University Hospital. Donna K. Culhane, M.D.

Biography
A Summa Cum Laude graduate of Creighton University and Alpha Omega Alpha graduate of the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Dr. Culhane received her diagnostic radiology residency training at Duke University. She completed a Thoracic Fellowship at Duke University and was a Clinical Associate in the Department of Radiology. Dr. Culhane taught radiology residents for 7 years at the University of Tennessee Medical Center prior to joining Abercrombie Radiology. She is certified by the American Board of Radiology and is a member of the Society of Thoracic Radiology. Dr. Culhane has participated in several community programs for breast cancer awareness. She enjoys and specializes in chest and breast imaging modalities.

Daniel W. Walsh, M.D.

Biography
A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Dickinson College and Alpha Omega Alpha graduate of Temple University School of Medicine, Dr. Walsh served as president of Temple's AOA chapter during his senior year in 1990-1991. He completed his radiology residency at Madigan Army Medical Center and served as Chief Resident during his senior year. Dr. Walsh served as Chief of MRI and CT at Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Augusta, GA. He is Board certified by the American Board of Radiology. Since relocating to Knoxville in 2002, Dr. Walsh has served on multiple hospital committees and is currently the Director of Medical Imaging for the Tennova South Ancillary Office. His areas of expertise include musculoskeletal MRI, oncologic and breast imaging that include breast biopsy procedures.

Samuel L. Maynard, M.D.

Biography
Dr. Maynard graduated from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville with Highest Honors. He then attended medical school at the University of Tennessee at Memphis and completed his internship and Diagnostic Radiology residency at the University of Kansas at Wichita. In Wichita he served as Chief Resident in radiology and was very involved in resident and medical student education. While in residency, Dr. Maynard also served as the American Medical Association representative for the American Association of Academic Chief Residents in Radiology. He is board certified by the American Board of Radiology. Areas of special interest for Dr. Maynard include women's imaging (diagnostic mammography and breast biopsies), vascular/interventional radiology, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, and CT guided biopsies.

Biography
Dr. Eberenz is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Following graduation, he completed a medical internship followed by a radiology residency at Duke University Medical Center. A biology honor scholar at Stanford University, Dr. Simmons attended medical school at Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio, performed his internship at Mt. Sinai Hospital and completed his radiology residency at the University of Cincinnati where he also served as chief resident. He then performed a neuroradiology fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. He is Board certified by the American Board of Radiology and is a senior member of the American and Southeastern Societies for Neuroradiology. He has obtained a CAQ in neuroradiology. Dr. Simmons now serves as President of Abercrombie Radiology. Areas of special expertise include neuroradiology of the head and spine, as well as musculoskeletal MRI, neuro-interventional and vascular radiology, and CT directed biopsy of the head, neck, spine, and abdomen, and spinal injection procedures for pain management.

Saeed Ahmed, M.D.

Biography
Dr. Ahmed graduated from King Edward Medical University, Lahore. He then completed his Internal Medicine residency and served as a chief medical resident at Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital, Columbia University. After working as a Hospitalist for 2 years, Dr Ahmed started his Diagnostic radiology residency at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, Oklahoma City. While in residency, Dr. Ahmed also worked part time as a Hospitalist at the Veteran Affairs Hospital, Oklahoma City. Courtney Dey, M.D.

Biography
After completing a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development at the University of California - San Diego, Dr. Dey attended medical school at St. George’s University School of Medicine. In medical school, Dr. Dey was a member of the Iota Epsilon Alpha International Honor Society and graduated magna cum laude. She completed a surgical internship at Northwestern University followed by diagnostic radiology residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School, where she was elected to serve as Chief Resident. Dr. Dey then continued her postgraduate medical education at Duke University where she completed a fellowship in musculoskeletal imaging. Dr. Dey’s areas of interest include orthopedic imaging and image guided minimally invasive interventions. She continues to maintain multiple professional memberships, including the American College of Radiology.
