JOHN D. SIMMONS, M.D.

A biology honor scholar at Stanford University. Dr. Simmons attended medical school at Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio, performed his internship at Mt. Sinai Hospital and completed his radiology residency at the University of Cincinnati where he also served as chief resident. He then performed a neuroradiology fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. He is Board certified by the American Board of Radiology and is a senior member of the American and Southeastern Societies for Neuroradiology. He has obtained a CAQ in neuroradiology. Dr. Simmons now serves as President of Abercrombie Radiology. He is the current Chief of Radiology at St. Mary's Medical Center, and is also active on committees at St. Mary's Medical Center. Areas of special expertise include neuroradiology of the head and spine, as well as musculoskeletal MRI, neuro-interventional and vascular radiology, and CT directed biopsy of the head, neck, spine, and abdomen, and spinal injection procedures for pain management.
WILLIAM R. MCKISSICK, M.D.

Previous Chief of Radiology and Chief of Staff for St. Mary's Medical Center; Dr. McKissick was a member of the Leadership Knoxville Class of '99, and is on the board for Habitat for Humanity. He serves as chairman of the Grievance Committee, Knoxville Academy of Medicine, and is on the Community Awareness & Research Education Committee for the Tennessee Medical Association. He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, and completed his radiology residency at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center. He also served as diagnostic radiologist at Keesler USAF Medical Center. He is Board certified by the American Board of Radiology and is a member of the Society of Cardiovascular & Interventional Radiology. His areas of special expertise include mammography, nuclear medicine and cardiac imaging, cross-sectional imaging, interventional radiology, and pain clinic procedures.
MARGO URI, M.D.

A Trinity University Summa Cum Laude graduate. Dr. Uri was fellowship trained in CT and ultrasound at the University of California, San Francisco General Hospital. She stays active in the community by giving breast cancer lectures to groups and on television and has served as a member of the JoAnn H. Bond Cancer Resource Center Board. She also is a Board Member of The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, "Race for the Cure," and Board Member of the Wellness Community. She has given fetal ultrasound talks for a local residency program and has been involved as a speaker and lab instructor at national meetings on fetal ultrasound. She is Board certified by the American Board of Radiology, and her areas of expertise include ultrasound, general, vascular, mammography and CT.
J. BREESE JOHNSON, JR., M.D.

Fellowship trained in both vascular and interventional radiology, Dr. Johnson is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and completed both his radiology and fellowship training at the University of Tennessee Hospital, Memphis. He is Board certified by the American Board of Radiology, and his areas of special expertise include vascular and interventional radiology, as well as cardiac imaging and nuclear medicine.
GWEN URI, M.D.

A Summa Cum Laude graduate of Trinity University, Dr. Uri completed medical school at Case Western Reserve in Cleveland. She was fellowship trained in Nuclear Medicine at Indiana University where she completed her radiology residency. She is Board certified by the American Board of Radiology, and her areas of special expertise are mammography and breast ultrasound.
LYNN BARRETT, M.D.

A Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude graduate of Duke University and Alpha Omega graduate of Duke Medical School. Dr. Barrett received her training in radiology and served as co-chief resident at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University, St. Louis. She is fellowship trained in MRI, ultrasound and CT and is Board certified by the American Board of Radiology. Areas of special expertise include orthopedic and neurological MRI, CT, ultrasound, and oncologic imaging.
DIANE L. EDGE, M.D.

A former Alpha Omega Alpha Vice President and recipient of the Watson's scholarship. Dr. Edge graduated from Dartmouth Medical School and performed her medicine/pediatric internship and residency at North Carolina Memorial Hospital followed by her radiology residency at Duke University Medical Center. She is Board certified by the American Board of Radiology, and her areas of special expertise include gastrointestinal and oncologic imaging, pediatric radiology, CT, MRI, and pain clinic procedures.
DALE E. NICHOLS, M.D.

A former associate professor of diagnostic radiology and Chief of CT/MRI at the University of Tennessee, Memphis. Dr. Nichols is fellowship trained in CT and MRI. While at the University of Tennessee she served on numerous committees, including the Institutional Review Board and both the Executive Committee Of Faculty Organizational Medicine and QA subcommittees. She is Board certified by the American Board of Radiology, and her areas of special expertise include CT and MRI, general diagnostic radiology and oncologic, orthopedic and trauma imaging.
ANDREW M. EVANCHO, M.D.

A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Chicago, Dr. Evancho is the former head of musculoskeletal radiology and fluoroscopy at Kessler USAF Medical Center. He completed his radiology training at Emory University and while at Penn State Medical School was a recipient of the Penn State Medical Student Research Award. He is board certified by the American Board of Radiology, and his areas of special expertise include musculoskeletal MRI, and cross sectional imaging.
LANE P. WILLIAMS, M.D.

An Alpha Omega Alpha graduate of the University of Tennessee Medical School Dr. Williams is a former Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center Chief of musculoskeletal radiology and abdominal imaging and a former Clinical Assistant Professor for the Department of Radiology at the University of Texas, San Antonio. He is Board certified by the American Board of Radiology, and his areas of special expertise include musculoskeletal radiology, body imaging in CT, MRI and ultrasound, vascular radiology, and pain clinic procedures.
WAYNE M. EBERENZ, M.D.

Dr. Eberenz is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Following graduation he completed a medical internship followed by a radiology residency at Duke University Medical Center. Dr. Eberenz completed a Fellowship in total body MRI at Duke University and acted as a Clinical Associate in the Department of Radiology. He joined Abercrombie Radiological Associates in October of 1997. He is Board Certified with the American Board of Radiology. He is a member of the American College of Radiology and American Roentgen Ray Society. He is active in resident education at a local teaching hospital giving MRI and neuroradiology review conferences. His areas of expertise include musculoskeletal, body, and neuro MRI, as well as cross sectional imaging, angio-interventional radiology, and pain clinic procedures.
KENNETH H. PRYOR. M.D.

A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Tennessee with highest honors, and Emory Medical School Graduate, Dr. Pryor received his Radiology residency training and served as chief resident at the National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda. He also served as diagnostic Radiologist and Vice President of the Medical Staff at Camp LeJeune Naval Hospital. He is Board certified by the American Board of Radiology, and his areas of special expertise include mammography; musculoskeletal radiology; and MRI, CT, Ultrasound body imaging, and pain clinic procedures.
F. GREGORY CURTIN, M.D.

Dr. Curtin is a Cum Laude graduate of Harvard College and was elected to membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society at Tufts University Medical School. Dr. Curtin completed his internship and residency at Naval Hospital Oakland in Oakland, California where he served as chief resident. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology and is a member of the Roentgen Ray Society. Areas of expertise include ultrasound, musculoskeletal MRI, and pain clinic procedures. He recently served as Department of Medicine Chief at Northside Cherokee Hospital in the metro Atlanta area.
SAMUEL L. MAYNARD, M.D.

A new member of the Abercrombie group, Dr. Maynard graduated from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville with Highest Honors. He then attended medical school at the University of Tennessee at Memphis, and completed his internship and Diagnostic Radiology residency at the University of Kansas at Wichita. In Wichita he served as chief resident in radiology, and was very involved in resident and medical student education. While in residency, Dr. Maynard also served as the American Medical Association representative for the American Association of Academic Chief Residents in Radiology. He is board certified by the American Board of Radiology. Areas of special interest for Dr. Maynard include women's imaging (diagnostic mammography and breast biopsies), vascular/interventional radiology, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, and CT guided biopsies.
DANIEL W. WALSH, M.D.

A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Dickinson College and Alpha Omega Alpha graduate of Temple University School of Medicine, Dr. Walsh served as president of Temple's AOA chapter during his senior year in 1990-1991. He completed his radiology residency at Madigan Army Medical Center and served as Chief Resident during his senior year. Dr. Walsh served as Chief of MRI and CT at Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Augusta, GA. He is Board certified by the American Board of Radiology and his areas of expertise include CT and MRI body and musculoskeletal imaging, general diagnostic radiology, and pain clinic procedures.
DONNA K. CULHANE, MD

A Summa Cum Laude graduate of Creighton University and Alpha Omega Alpha graduate of the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Dr Culhane received her diagnostic radiology residency training at Duke University. She completed a Thoracic Fellowship at Duke University and was a Clinical Associate in the Department of Radiology. Dr Culhane taught radiology residents for 7 years at the University of Tennessee Medical Center prior to joining Abercrombie Radiology. She is certified by the American Board of Radiology, a member of the Society of Thoracic Radiology, and is subspecialized in occupational lung disease as a B-reader. Dr Culhane has participated in several community programs for breast cancer awareness. She enjoys and specializes in chest and breast imaging modalities.
Jason R. Cameron, M.D.

A zoology honors graduate from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Dr. Cameron completed his medical school training at Meharry Medical College where he also graduated with honors. He completed a surgical internship at the University of Tennessee in Memphis prior to a diagnostic radiology residency at the University of Tennessee/Methodist University Hospital. He served as chief resident in his final year prior to completing a fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at the University of Alabama. He is currently board certified by the American Board of Radiology and is an active member of numerous radiologic societies, including the Society of Interventional Radiology.
Daniel Baker, MD

A Cum Laude graduate of Vanderbilt University, Dr. Baker is a graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Medicine where he was elected to membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. From there, Dr. Baker completed his internship at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee before attending the University of Florida in Gainesville for radiology residency. Dr. Baker then completed a one year fellowship in musculoskeletal imaging at the University of Florida. He is Board certified by the American Board of Radiology and special areas of interest include musculoskeletal imaging and neuroradiology. Dr. Baker is a member of the American College of Radiology, American Roentgen Ray Society, and the Radiological Society of North America.
